Description
The Oak Openings Hiking Trail is a 15 1/2 mile loop that meanders through a 5,000 acre metropark of the same name. There are three campground options and highlights include remnants of the Great Black Swamp and slightly higher oak openings. The unusual combination of habitats in the area was once named one of the 200 “last great places on Earth” by the Nature Conservancy. This BackpackOhio Trail Guide includes local information, trail description, hiking directions, a comparative scorecard and a map.
